8-9-3 is the fourty-sixth career mode race in Midnight Club II.

It is an ordered race with 6 opponents. The race starts in the Shibuya district and ends near the parking lot.
Description[]
This is the first race against you do against Ken'ichi, it is quite easy. He leads you to the start of the race after following him. It is a ordered race that takes you across Tokyo through many shortcuts. During the start of the race, Ken'ichi and the other racers quickly make a turn left in an attempt to fool the player. In the middle of the race, there is a jump that takes you above the water. You can slow down a little bit before the jump, to avoid landing on the bridge to the highway. The other racers are more than likely to make that mistake, which gives you an advantage. At the final checkpoint, you have two options to reach the finish: Through the alleyways with the mini markets, or through the nearby parking lot.
