"Hey, I got a word of a tournament taking place. You might wanna check it out. The kind of thing you'll enjoy for sure. Make sure you show up in the right vehicle, or they won't let you drive, okay? Cool." - Tomoya
"Class "C" vehicles only! You'll need to use all your skills for this one. Win and you'll be rewarded with a Nissan Sport Concept." - Nav System description
The Asakusa Tournament is the sixth tournament of the Tokyo Challenge in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition (REMIX). The tournament opens once the player wins 16 Tokyo City Races.
The tournament is restricted to C-Class vehicles, and the winner will earn a Nissan Sport Concept.
Summary[]
When the player wins their 16th Tokyo City Race, Tomoya calls the player, telling him that a tournament has opened entries, with them only accepting entries from drivers who drive a Class C vehicle. The player can only enter the tournament if they drive a Class C vehicle, otherwise, entry will be denied until they change vehicles in the garage.
The player races against 4 random opponents, in a four-race tournament with race 1 taking place in Airbourne, race 2 being Highroad , race 3 being Wharfdocks and the last race being Ginza Stop.
Opponents[]
- Daisuke
- Kenta
- Xan
- Yuta
Rewards[]
Upon completing the tournament, the player earns $5,000 and a Nissan Sport Concept being added to their garage, as well as being unlocked for purchase.
If the player has a full garage upon winning the tournament, or having already obtained a Sport Concept early through illegitimate means, the player will earn $28,000 instead.
Eligible Vehicles[]
Trivia[]
- Despite being a tournament restricted to Class C vehicles, opponents may drive as high as the the Cadillac Cien, Gemballa F355, Lamborghini Diablo VT or Gemballa Turbo Coupe, which are typically low-end Exotic cars in the game, if the player drives a maxed Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, as their high performance is due to their all-wheel drive drivetrain.
- The tournament is technically playable even without having started Career Mode, though the player must also win the 1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville from the American Royalty Car Club Tournament or the Hummer H3T from the Big Playas Tournament first, as those are the two ways to obtain a Class C vehicle without even starting Career Mode.
