The Bad Boyz Tournament is a tournament that appears in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and is located in Detroit.

Plot

When the player arrives in Detroit upon defeating Cheng or Naomi, along with Roy's second match, an American Royalty Car Club meeting is announced in Detroit, in which they are organizing a tournament, awarding a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline to the winner of the tournament.

Unlock Conditions

The tournament opens once the player defeats Cheng or Naomi, as well as Roy's first rematch in Atlanta, the required conditions to open Detroit.

Strategy

Upon entering Detroit, it is highly recommended to win the Unbeatable Street Racers club races for the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) before attempting this tournament if they want to do it before getting an A-Class vehicle.

If the player does this tournament before challenging any racer in Detroit, opponents will commonly drive Lamborghini Diablo VTs, Class B Choppers or Sport Bikes. Be careful as the Diablos may have up to 4 Nitrous, despite being low-end Exotics.

If the player ignores this tournament, opponents will progressively drive better vehicles, until late in the game, where opponents only drive Lamborghini Murciélago VT, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, McLaren F1 LM, Saleen S7 (naturally aspirated), Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR or if playing the REMIX version of the game, Pagani Zonda C-12 S.

After winning the tournament, it is highly recommended to sell the Chevrolet Fleetline for $34,000, as the Fleetline will have very little use in Career Mode, even in the American Royalty Car Club races, since it is recommended to avoid the said club races until after winning the U.S. Championship Series due to the Chevrolet Corvette (C3)'s limited usefulness.

Rewards

Upon completing the tournament, the player earns $20,000 and the 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline being added to their garage, as well as being unlocked for purchase.

If the player has a full garage upon winning the tournament, or having already obtained the Fleetline early through illegitimate means, the player will be compensated with the Fleetline's purchase price of $42,500 instead.
