Big Playas is a club that appears in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and specializes in SUVs and Trucks. This club challenges the player after beating Dre or Lamont in their first encounter.
Summary[]
When the player opens Atlanta following Vanessa's second defeat, DUB organizes the Atlanta DUB Tournament that rewards a DUBbed out-Cadillac Escalade EXT to the tournament winner, which can help the player get started in the club races.
The club grants the player an invitation to enter their club races after defeating Dre or Lamont. The player will be sent to Apone Team Racing to be introduced to the club afterwards. The player will also unlock Davin spinners Blak Onyx, Blak Diamond, Blak Eclipse and Wired D-88 afterwards.
The player earns Agro for SUV/Trucks upon completing the third race of the club, along with SUV/Truck body parts for every win in the club races.
Completing the final race awards the player the Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG, or $114,000 if they have a full garage or a save that was illegally hacked/cheated to obtain the G55 AMG early.
In Tokyo, after the player wins their 27th Tokyo City Race, the Big Playas organize a tournament in Tokyo that rewards a Hummer H3T Concept to the winner (or will be compensated $52,000 if the winner has a full garage).
Notable Racers[]
The player can receive the Big Playas invitation upon beating one of the two rivals listed below.
Strategy[]
If the player has the REMIX edition of the game, the player is highly advised to avoid taking part in this club's races, due to opponents possibility of driving the Gemballa GT 750, a 750 HP tuned SUV whose performance is significantly higher than most SUV/Trucks, and costs more than the game's fastest Exotics, and with other opponents typically driving the Class B Pickup Trucks, namely the Chevrolet Silverado SST Concept and Dodge RAM SRT-10, making these races extremely difficult before unlocking Class B vehicles.
Owing to the Escalade EXT given out in the tournament being a DUB Edition, the EXT fetches a very high sale value of $65,832, which totals $42,592 for the Escalade EXT itself and $22,800 for the DUB Edition parts.
It is highly advised to avoid spending the $14,388 for the EXT's level 1 upgrades, as the player will waste $2,878 for upgrading the EXT to level 1 and selling it upgraded, instead being recommended to sell the DUBbed out EXT for $65,832 right after winning it, instead of risking to attempt the club races with low payouts.
The following stats below are a comparison of the level 1 Escalade EXT and GT 750's stats.

As a result, owing to the level 1 EXT and the GT 750's performance gap, and with the G55 AMG having very little usage at the earliest time the player can acquire it, and having been relegated to merely a collector's item with the addition of the GT 750, plus club race payouts tied to the player's progression, it is highly advised to skip the Big Playas club races until after completing the U.S. Championship Series, which will significantly reduce the difficulty and increase the payouts of the club races, in which the player should pay the high price of $360,000 to buy the GT 750 and blitz all 15 races of the Big Playas.
Trivia[]
- Despite the game stating that the club will challenge the player after defeating Dre, the player can also earn the right to challenge the Big Playas if the player defeated Lamont before defeating Dre.
