The Big Playas Tournament is the ninth tournament of the Tokyo Challenge in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition (REMIX).

Summary

When the player wins their 27th Tokyo City Race, Tomoya calls the player, telling him that a tournament has opened entries, with them only accepting entries from drivers who drive an SUV or pickup truck. The player can only enter the tournament if they drive an SUV or pickup truck, otherwise, entry will be denied until they change vehicles in the garage.

The player races against 3 random opponents, in a five-race tournament.

Rewards

Upon completing the tournament, the player earns $5,000 and a Hummer H3T being added to their garage, as well as being unlocked for purchase.

If the player has a full garage upon winning the tournament, or having already obtained the H3T early, the player will instead earn $52,000 to cover the prize vehicle's purchase value, allowing them to receive the H3T at no additional cost upon freeing a garage spot.

Trivia

• Although this tournament is unlocked late in the Tokyo Challenge, it is technically playable without having to start the Career Mode, provided they can afford the Hummer H1 for it's high price of $117,508, which would be a little harder to earn due to the low payouts they receive from the Tokyo races if they haven't attempted Career Mode, unless the player sold some of the prize cars earned from the previous tournaments.
  • Winning this tournament or the American Royalty Car Club Tournament is one of the two ways the player can attempt the Asakusa Tournament without even attempting Career Mode.
