By Invitation Only (abbreviated as B.I.O.) is a club that appears in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition and specializes in Exotic cars. This club challenges the player after defeating Ceasar in his first encounter.
Summary[]
After the player defeats Ceasar in his first encounter where he drives a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the player will be sent to Vince's garage. He will tell the player that the By Invitation Only car club has invited the player to challenge them. The club only accepts racers who drive exotic cars. If the player drives a different vehicle type, they must switch to an exotic car, either by going to a garage or exiting back to the main menu and reselecting an Exotic car.
If the player has not yet unlocked the Class A vehicles, the player can enter the Detroit City Tournament upon defeating Ceasar, in which the winner of the tournament is awarded a Cadillac Cien as a way of getting the player started in the club races.
If the player has the REMIX version of the game, they can also detour to the Tokyo Challenge with the Cien to win either the By Invitation Only Tournament for the 1998 Gemballa F355 or even the Imperial Palace Tournament (by winning 34 Tokyo City Races) for the Pagani Zonda C-12 S before any exotics are unlocked. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R may also be won from the Original Riders club races before any exotic is unlocked as an alternative method to winning the Zonda (and possibly, the F355), which could make the Zonda the first exotic the player obtains.
The club will set a total of 16 races across the three US cities, divided between 5 or 6 races per city. The player is awarded the Zone ability for exotics upon winning their third race in the club, and the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve for winning all races in the club (or will be compensated with $240,000 if the car was obtained early through hacking/cheating or having a full garage).
Strategy[]
In a normal playthrough, it is highly recommended to wait until the player had unlocked level 2 performance parts for Class A vehicles before attempting the club races. Once it has been done, it is highly recommended to buy the McLaren F1 LM for $250,000 and install the Nitrous upgrades. Afterwards, the player can blitz all 16 club races to win the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, setting the player up for the U.S. Championship Series.
An alternate route is that player can win the Cadillac Cien from it's tournament, then proceed to win the Gemballa F355 from the By Invitation Only Tournament, and use the F355 to win all 16 races in this club, to secure a Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, which will instantly set the player for the endgame, only needing to unlock Level 1 (for the third nitro shot) and Level 2 (for the fourth nitro slot) upgrades for Class A vehicles, or either do the 34 race grind to open the Imperial Palace Tournament to win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S. However, winning the Cien’s tournament early can cause delays for unlockling the upgraded nitro slots for Class A vehicles.
Notable Racers[]
Permitted Vehicles[]
Exotics are all in Class A, and the list is divided between gaps, as the exotics' stats also determine which vehicles encounter them. The first tier of exotic cars are frequently encountered by maxed out Class C tuner cars or certain Class B cars, such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34), while the higher end ones are encountered by driving the said vehicles with maxed nitrous.
Low/Mid-end Exotics[]
High/Top-end Exotics[]
Unlocks[]
- 3 Races - Zone
- All Races (16) - Chrysler ME Four-Twelve ($240,000 if garage is full)
Trivia[]
- In Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve won from the Club Races will have it's version name set to "ME 412". This was changed in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition REMIX, where the prize Four Twelve will now have it's version name set to "FOUR TWELVE".
- This is the only club where a prize vehicle can be won from another source outside of the main Career Mode before even being introduced to the club or it's vehicles being unlocked, as due to the Imperial Palace Tournament being restricted to Class A vehicles, if the player won the Original Riders club races to obtain the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R, the player becomes eligible to take part in the said tournament and win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S.
