"Oh yeah! A Cadillac Cien. Now that's a car holmes." - Unlock quote
The Cadillac Cien is a vehicle available in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.
Description[]
The Cadillac Cien is a 2-door rear mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive high-performance concept car created by Cadillac, designed by Simon Cox, and unveiled at the 2002 Detroit Auto Show to celebrate Cadillac's 100th anniversary.
The Cadillac Cien had a longitudinally mounted 60-degree, 7.5-liter V12 which produced 750 hp (559 kW) and 650 lb⋅ft (881 N⋅m) of torque. This experimental engine featured Direct Injection and Displacement on demand, which allowed the engine to run on only eight or fewer cylinders under light load. The Cien was designed at General Motors' Advanced Design Studio in England and built as a fully working road-going vehicle with the help of the UK-based engineering and motorsport company Prodrive. The Cien's monocoque chassis and body are made of Aerogel composite and its design was inspired by the F-22 Raptor.
Performance[]
The Cadillac Cien is among the heaviest exotics in the game, weighing 1,500 kg and is an excellent choice as the player's first exotic, since it's also the cheapest exotic car (although it is a Prize Vehicle, which means the car is delivered to the player's garage for free, rather than having to be bought). Though its statistics are lower than most other exotics, the Cien has a high top speed and good acceleration. It is also very strong, allowing it to survive longer in races without becoming completely destroyed. Its strength and weight also prevents the car from flipping over often.
However, in the REMIX version, the Cien's usage is outnumbered by the addition of the Gemballa F355, due to the By Invitation Only Tournament opening upon starting up Tokyo Challenge, though the player must drive an Exotic car to participate in the tournament, which the player can immediately use the Cien after winning it to take part in the tournament.
According to in-game AI usage, the Cien is classified as a low-end exotic car, along with the Gemballa Turbo Coupe, 1998 Gemballa F355, 1998 Lamborghini Diablo VT, as they are frequently encountered by the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34).

Eligibility[]
The Cien can take part in the following races:
- San Diego, California street Racers: Carlos or Bishop (whichever was not defeated to progress to Phil)
- Atlanta, Georgia street Racers: Dre and Cheng or Vito and Naomi (depending on who was used to open Detroit)
- Detroit, Michigan street Racers: All racers except Leo and Ceasar (both are mandatory to unlock By Invitation Only)
- US Tournaments: All US Career tournaments except one of City Tournament (San Diego), Stage Tournament or Balboa Park Tournament, since one is required to challenge Vanessa's second rematch.
- All U.S. Championship Series races.
- All By Invitation Only club races.
- Tokyo Tournaments: By Invitation Only Tournament and Imperial Palace Tournament
- All 34 Tokyo Challenge races.
Strategy[]
When the player opens Detroit, the player is advised to avoid Roy and Spider, since the opponent's times will be faster, the player can participate in the Detroit Autocross City Tournament, which awards this car right after winning the said tournament, right after defeating Ceasar in his first encounter, in which the player will also receive the invitation to the By Invitation Only club races.
After winning the Cien, the player can take the Cien to the By Invitation Only Tournament in Tokyo to win the Gemballa F355, then use the F355 to win the By Invitation Only club races in the main US career to win the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, setting the player for the endgame. The player may also grind the 34 City races in the Tokyo Challenge to participate in the Imperial Palace Tournament to win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S, allowing the player to win 4 exotic cars before unlocking Class A vehicles.
Acquisition[]
The Cadillac Cien is won from the City Tournament in Detroit.
If the player illegally hacked/cheated the game to obtain a Cien early or has a full garage, the player will be instead compensated with $135,000, the exact amount the player has to spend to buy the Cien.
Users[]
Angel drives a Cien in the U.S. Championship Series, after switching from the lower-horsepowered Saleen S7 during some point after his loss to the player.
Trivia[]
- Cien is Spanish for "one-hundred", referring to it being Cadillac's centennial celebration concept car.
- The Cien can also be used as an early way to obtain the Pagani Zonda C-12 S, provided they defeat Leo and Ceasar right after they enter Detroit, before moving in to Tokyo to do the Tokyo Challenge races until the Imperial Palace Tournament opens.
- The Cien has a hidden sway bar upgrade, which can only be installed via hacking. This improves handling from 69.5 to 71.6.
- The Cien is one of the four exotics the player may receive before unlocking Class A vehicles.
- This trait is shared with the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, Gemballa F355 and Pagani Zonda C-12 S.
