Carlos is a character in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. He is a Mexican lowrider enthusiast who drives an Emerald Green 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a license plate reading "CARLOWS".
The player must defeat him or Bishop, along with Vanessa's first encounter to progress the story of the game. If Vanessa and Bishop were beaten beforehand, he can wait until as late as after the U.S. Championship Series, but opponents will drive high-end exotics or Class A Sport Bikes to match the player's level if he was challenged late in the game.
Background[]
Carlos is one of the first challengers the player meets in San Diego. He is a member of the American Royalty Car Club. The player goes through three races with him in order to earn the right of access to the American Royalty Car Club. Carlos drives a Emerald Green 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a plate reading "CARLOWS". Initially, the player must race him, Vanessa and Bishop in the Rites of Passage Ordered Race.
The player must defeat him or Bishop, along with Vanessa to progress through the early part of the Career Mode. If the player defeats Bishop first, then defeats Vanessa, Carlos becomes a purely optional racer, however, the opposition may drive faster vehicles, especially, if he waits out until the part where Class A vehicles are unlocked, opponents will drive the Saleen S7 (naturally aspirated), Lamborghini Murciélago VT, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, McLaren F1 LM, Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, or Pagani Zonda C-12 S, although there may be races where all other opponents drive the 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, giving the player a huge advantage if one of the six exotics are driven by the player, and 4 nitrous have been installed to their exotic car.

Trivia[]
- The player may be able to skip Carlos' first encounter until they get a faster vehicle, (eg. the player may skip Carlos after defeating Bishop, as the player only needs to defeat one of Carlos or Bishop, along with Vanessa to challenge Phil.
- However, if Carlos waits very long, his other opponents could be driving the higher-end of the Exotics or the Class A Sport Bikes.
- 2 unused audio files that are present in the game prove that Carlos was supposed to make a second appearance in Atlanta driving a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.
- It is unknown whether he would drive the 1969 or 1981 model year.
- If the player raced Carlos after the U.S. Championship Series, it is possible to get the following races that are typically exclusive to the said series.
