"You ain't gonna wanna miss the Detroit autocross tournament, playa. Just you against the clock, man, c'mon." - Oscar
The Detroit City Tournament is a tournament in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. The tournament opens once the player defeats Ceasar and gets an invitation to By Invitation Only.
The winner of the tournament is awarded the Cadillac Cien, a concept supercar that is an entry-level exotic. It was set up to give the player an Exotic car before unlocking Class A vehicles.
Summary[]
When the player defeats Ceasar, a cutscene triggers where the player is sent to Vince's garage to inform the player that the By Invitation Only club has invited them to take part in their club races. After the cutscene, the player will be informed that the Detroit City tournament opens.
The player races through three Autocross races.

Unlock Conditions[]
The tournament opens once the player defeats Ceasar and gets an invitation to the By Invitation Only.
Opponents[]
- Bush
- Ceasar
- Jake
- Owen
- Regie
- Roy
Strategy[]
Any maxed Class C Tuner can do this tournament, however it may require a lot of skill and effort, which makes it almost impossible to 1-lap races in the said cars, if one already defeated one of Roy (third encounter) or Spider.
The better choice, would be to use the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG, which is won from the San Diego DUB Tournament, and already has optimized performance, which makes it unupgradable except for nitrous. Also, the player can wait out until they unlock Class B Level 2 upgrades to use more vehicles such as the Dodge Viper GTS-R or Saleen SR.
Once the player wins the Cadillac Cien, the player can also take part in the By Invitation Only club races across all three US cities for the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, the By Invitation Only Tournament in Tokyo to win the Gemballa F355, as well as the Imperial Palace Tournament to win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S (after 34 city races there).
Rewards[]
Upon completing the tournament, the player earns $20,000 and the Cadillac Cien being added to their garage, as well as being unlocked for purchase.
If the player has a full garage upon winning the tournament, or having already obtained the Cien early through illegitimate means, the player will be compensated with $135,000 instead.
Trivia[]
- This tournament can be difficult for some players, leading to many users using any of the Sport Bikes.
- This is due to autocross races disabling Nitrous and Special Abilities, which makes Sport Bikes overpowered for Autocross tournaments, as the sport bikes' D-Class Nitro capacity does not matter in Autocross races.
- The Cadillac Cien in the REMIX version's loading screen is painted in a shade of Dark Red Metallic with a plate reading "QUIKCAD", which is similar to Dre's Cadillac Escalade's license plate of "SLIKCADY".
- Owing to the possibility of winning the Cien before any Class A vehicles are unlocked, this can start a chain of the player acquiring 4 exotics before the purchasable ones are unlocked.
- The chain is followed by the Gemballa F355 from the By Invitation Only Tournament, the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve from the By Invitation Only club races and the Pagani Zonda C-12 S from the Imperial Palace Tournament.
