Delivery is a type of recurring race mission available in Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It is also the name of the story mission that introduces the player to this race type.
Description[]
Delivery missions require the player to obtain a vehicle at a garage and deliver it to another location in the city within a time limit and without exceeding a specified damage level. The missions are available both from Hollywood Auto and from Doc's Garage.
Mission[]
The story mission "Delivery" is given to the player by Karol and requires the player to deliver five vehicles on Medium (yellow) difficulty.
Cars[]
Hollywood Auto[]
15 pre-tuned cars are able to be delivered out of Hollywood Auto.
Doc's Garage[]
The following pre-tuned variants of South Central Premium Upgrade and South Central Vehicle Packs cars can be delivered out of Doc's Garage. These deliveries also gave players the opportunity to test drive the Vehicle Pack cars prior to their official release.
Tips[]
- Every vehicle's destination location is predetermined, so some vehicles will be more preferable to deliver than others due to either their destinations being closer to the starting position and/or their routes being easier to navigate.
- Examples of such vehicles include the Saleen S302, Chevrolet Corvette ZO6, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX MR, with the formers destination being very close to the starting position and the latter two having a very simple route to plot and navigate.
Achievements[]
Two achievements/trophies are related to Delivery missions:
- Here for a Pickup - requires the player to deliver fifteen vehicles out of Hollywood Auto or Doc's Garage.
- Sign Here - requires the player to deliver ten vehicles out of Doc's Garage (requires the South Central Premium Upgrade or Complete Edition of the game).
Trivia[]
- The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR used in the Delivery Missions is equipped with Rays G-Games 99B rims, which cannot be normally obtained in any way.
- The Saleen S302 used in the Delivery Missions in Hollywood Auto is the car featured on the box art of the original version of Midnight Club: Los Angeles.
- If the player is in a motorcycle when the player starts a delivery mission, the player will be wearing his motorcycle jacket while getting the keys to the car.
- However, the jacket will not be visible on the player's model while in the delivery car until the player returns to their bike, as the jacket is coded only to appear on the protagonist if his current vehicle is a Sports Bike.
