Doc is a character in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, added by the South Central Premium Upgrade.

Background

Doc is the owner of Doc's Garage in the South Central section of Los Angeles. While fellow garage owner Karol deals with tuners, exotics, and other types of vehicles common to the Hollywood area, Doc specializes in the low riders and SUVs preferred in South Central.

Storyline

Doc is the central figure in the South Central content of the story. After completing some of the introductory missions in the game, Karol tells the protagonist to visit Doc to check out the racing scene in South Central. Doc's Garage is equivalent to Karol's two garages in the services it offers and the player will be transported there when selecting "Go to Garage" if it is closer than the others.

As with Hollywood Auto, Doc's Garage offers Delivery missions.

When the player accepts Karol's partnership offer towards the end of the game, Doc's Garage is included in the free access to all vehicles and upgrades.

He also is a commonly spawning opponent in most high-end races, usually spawning in a stock Audi R8 or an orange Saleen S7 Twin Turbo.

Doc's Audi R8

Doc drives a completely unmodified Audi R8 4.2 FSi Quattro as a commonly spawning opponent. The R8 has it's default license plate "5HZX106". This R8 commonly spawns in most races, and if the player uses a maxed out Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, Ford Shelby Cobra Concept or Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, he usually spawns along with Lester's Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 and occasionally, Oswaldo's Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 or Leon's Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster.

Doc's Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

Doc drives an orange Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, with Konig wheels, and it has a license plate reading "WSUPDOC". He spawns in his S7, if the player drives certain maxed vehicles, such as the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6), Ford GT or the Audi R8 4.2 FSi Quattro.

Trivia

• Doc is the only character known to use a visually unmodified car, in which, he can be spotted in a visually unmodified Audi R8 if the player drives a majority of the supercars.
• Doc is one of the few opponents who are almost guaranteed to spawn, always spawning in his Audi R8 4.2 FSi Quattro when driving a maxed Exotic.
• Doc’s Saleen S7 Twin Turbo’s license plate, “WSUPDOC” is a reference to the Looney Tunes film What’s Up, Doc?

The Goin' South achievement/trophy is awarded to the player for meeting Doc. Additional achievements/trophies are available for completing test drives and delivery missions out of Doc's Garage.
