"What needs to be said about this beauty friend? The Gemballa F355. Look at it. Love it. And say thank you. What an amazing vehicle. " - Unlock quote
The Gemballa F355 is an exotic vehicle available in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix. It is a pre-tuned version of the Ferrari car of the same name modified by Gemballa.
Description[]
The Gemballa F355 is a pre-tuned variant of the Ferrari car of the same name.
Owing to licensing difficulties at the time of the game's release, a pre-tuned version of the car by Gemballa is used instead.
Performance[]
Handling is very sticky. Forcefully applying the handbrake will get it into a drift briefly before going into a complete understeer. When it's raining, it is slightly easier to drift but understeer can come up fast if the drift is not maintained. Basically it has a tendency to snap out of a drift and just understeer and simply turn in a corner.
It's advisable to use just the gas and brake for most cornering situations. The gearbox lags in shifting due to the F355 having a 6 speed manual gearbox like other road going Ferraris of it's time. Drifting any slower than 155 mph will cause the gearbox to drop into lower gears and overrevving the engine, ruining the drift in most cases. Make sure the car stays in at least 4th gear or any higher gear while drifting or else back out of a drift and simply turn through a corner.
Since the gearbox lags a lot in shifting, it's not useful to engage the NOS when launching the car at the start of a race. This will cause a huge lag in acceleration. Engaging the NOS in 4th gear is ideal for best boost in acceleration.
The player may use this instead of the Cadillac Cien to have an easier time in winning the By Invitation Only club races to win the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, in which the player can use the Cien to obtain the F355 from it's tournament, then use the F355 for the 16 club races, before completing the rest of the game with the Four-Twelve.
As an opponent, like the Lamborghini Diablo VT, the F355 can also be encountered by the Class A Sport Bikes or most Class A exotics, along with most Class B vehicles and the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34). but cannot be encountered by the Lamborghini Murciélago Coupe, Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, Saleen S7, McLaren F1 LM, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve or the Pagani Zonda C-12 S.

Acquisition[]
The player wins the 1998 Gemballa F355 upon completing the By Invitation Only Tournament. After completing the said tournament, a copy of the said car will be placed in the player's garage. If the player illegally hacks the game to put the F355 in their garage early, or has a full garage, the player will still unlock the F355 for purchase, but will be given $200,000 instead as a compensatory reward.
Usage[]
Out of all progression-related races, the F355 is eligible to participate in the following races:
- San Diego, California street Racers: Carlos or Bishop (whichever was not defeated to progress to Phil)
- Atlanta, Georgia street Racers: Dre and Cheng (if the Original Riders method was used) or Vito and Naomi (if the City Tournament (Detroit) method was used)
- Detroit, Michigan street Racers: All racers, although Leo and Ceasar are a different situation since the said racers are mandatory to obtain the Cadillac Cien, though the F355 may be unlocked before the Cien or Class A vehicles, if one won the Imperial Palace Tournament with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R before defeating Leo or Ceasar.
- Tournaments: All US Career tournaments except one of City Tournament (San Diego), Stage Tournament or Balboa Park Tournament, since one is required to challenge Vanessa's second rematch, Imperial Palace Tournament.
- All By Invitation Only Club Races.
Strategy[]
The recommended strategy to obtaining and using the F355 is as follows:
- Once the player enters Detroit after opening the city by defeating Roy's second encounter, along with one of Cheng or Naomi, the player must avoid Roy's third encounter or Spider until they win the Detroit City Tournament to win the Cadillac Cien, since the Cien's tournament will be easier assuming they do not challenge the other two Detroit rivals, which will cause opponents to have faster times.
- After winning the Cien, one can go to the Tokyo Challenge to win the By Invitation Only Tournament and obtain the Gemballa F355.
- After winning the F355, the player can immediately go to the By Invitation Only Club Races to win the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, resulting in one obtaining an endgame vehicle right away.

Trivia[]
- Despite being classified as a lower-tier exotic commonly encountered by the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34), as well as most Class B vehicles, the F355 can be encountered by the Class A Sport Bikes in City Races, along with the 1998 Lamborghini Diablo VT.
- They can also spawn on any other exotic, excluding the higher-end ones.
- Due to the F355 being a prize exotic, the player can technically obtain the F355 even before unlocking Class A vehicles.
- This trait is shared with the Cadillac Cien, Pagani Zonda C-12 S and Chrysler ME Four-Twelve.
- Despite the Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe having 493 HP, the F355 has higher stats and performs better than the aforementioned car.
- This leads to speculations that Gemballa tuned it up to at least 500 HP.
