HUMMER was a brand of pickups and SUVs that appeared in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. They were first advertised in January 22, 1992 when heavy vehicle manufacturer AM General started selling a civillian version of the M998 Humvee. in 1988, GM (General Motors) bought the brand name from AM General and sold 3 vehicles: the H1 (based on the military Humvee), the H2 and the H3.
However, in the 2008 great recession, Hummer's future looked uncertain and its ability to sell was questioned. GM decided to keep Hummer and investigate its sales, instead of transferring it to the Motors Liquidation Company when GM faced bankruptcy in 2009.However, no final agreement was reached and Hummer began to shut down its operations in 2010.
In 2020, Hummer made its return as a "sub-brand" of GMC. It would become a nameplate brand of the new GMC Hummer EV, which would be sold in 2022 as an electric pickup truck and an SUV.[1]

Logo History[]
The Hummer logo has only had 2 designs over its history since the company did not last very long and is now just a nameplate brand for GMC. The 1st logo has a simple and strict wordmark with no extra details. The font here is Franklin Gothic Heavy, extra-bold typeface, with capital lettering. This shows a very strong and masculine visual identity representative of their SUVs at the time. The 2nd logo keeps the iconic character of the brand but shows it in a new and modern way. The letter now has thinner lines and geometric angular contours. [2]
