Background

Ichiro is a friend of Shing.

Storyline

Shing offered to race the player by making them go through a time trial in the race Red Herring. However, a black sedan, the Lusso XT, is at the finish line instead of Shing's RSMC 15. Shing then forces the player to race against Ichiro before they can face off against him.

Trivia

• At the beginning of his race, Ichiro sometimes calls the player a cheater and doesn't want the player scams for his car. He also occasionally curses at the player in Japanese from the beginning for the race and after the player clears a checkpoint first.
• Ichiro shares the same music theme as Shing.
• Alongside Mauro, Diego and Owen, Ichiro is one of the few opponents in the game whose face is never seen.
