"Hey, I got a word of a tournament taking place. You might wanna check it out. The kind of thing you'll enjoy for sure. Make sure you show up in the right vehicle, or they won't let you drive, okay? Cool." - Tomoya
"Class "A" vehicles only! These guys drive the best vehicles around. Win and you'll be rewarded with a Pagani Zonda C 12 S." - Nav System description
The Imperial Palace Tournament is the eleventh and final tournament of the Tokyo Challenge in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition (REMIX). The tournament opens once the player wins 34 Tokyo City Races, in which a cutscene triggers where Tomoya talks to the player while Toshi tunes up a Nissan Sport Concept, in which Tomoya tells the player that all tournaments have been opened.
Summary[]
When the player wins their 34th Tokyo City Race, the player heads to the Speedway garage and eventually, Tomoya approaches the player, telling him that the player has opened all Tokyo tournaments. He also informs the player that the Tokyo City Races will remain open, and will work in a similar fashion to the Open City Races in the US Cities (San Diego, Atlanta and Detroit). After the cutscene, the player will be informed that the Imperial Palace tournament opens, and the player must show up in any Class A vehicle to enter it. Entry will be denied, the tournament will be hidden from the Nav System if they are using a Class D, C, or B vehicle.
The player races against 5 random opponents, in which the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, Lamborghini Murciélago Coupe, McLaren F1 LM, Saleen S7, Pagani Zonda C-12 S or the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR will be the typical vehicle choices for the opponents. The first race will take place in Asakusa, the second being Haul and the final race being Super Joy.

Trivia[]
- The player may be able to enter the Imperial Palace Tournament and win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S as early as when they get to Detroit, provided the player does any of the following methods.
- Step 1. First, the player must have already opened Detroit as soon as they beat either Cheng or Naomi, along with Roy's second encounter.
- Step 2. The player must obtain an A-Class vehicle, since the Zonda's tournament requires a Class A vehicle to participate. The player can obtain one of the following two Class A vehicle early through two different methods.
- Method 1. The player can obtain the Cadillac Cien right away just by defeating Leo as soon as they get to Detroit, then defeating Ceasar afterwards, which will cause By Invitation Only to challenge the player and organize the Detroit City Tournament. Winning the Detroit Autocross City Tournament awards the player the Cadillac Cien, an A-Class exotic car.
- Method 2. The player can obtain the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R by winning all Original Riders club races, either by buying the Ducati Monster S4R for $13,495 after unlocking Class B vehicles or winning the Ducati SS1000 from the Hotlanta Tournament since unlike the By Invitation Only tournament, the Zonda's tournament also allows the use of A-Class Sport Bikes.
- Step 3. The player must win 34 Tokyo City Races (marked by a icon) (not including Tokyo tournaments) to open the Imperial Palace A-Class tournament.
- Step 4. The player can then participate the Imperial Palace Class A Tournament with the aforementioned vehicle that was won to obtain the Pagani Zonda C-12 S before resuming the Career Mode or completing any other Tokyo tournament.
- This tournament is similar to the By Invitation Only Tournament except for the following, and can be considered a part 2 of the said tournament:
- There are only three races in the tournament, unlike the aforementioned tournament which has five races.
- There are five opponents as opposed to only four.
- The A-Class Sport Bikes can also participate, since this is a class tournament. All Class A Cars are Exotics, and there are also three sport bikes in the said class.
