Midnight Club Wiki

The Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster is an Italian sports car manufactured by Lamborghini. Built as an open-top variant of the Murciélago, the production car was introduced in 2004, one year after the Concept version's debut during the 2003 Detroit Auto Show. It only weighed 29 kg (65 lbs) more than the coupe variant.

The entire design of the windscreen and side windows was reviewed, and the car was fitted with a completely new engine cover which hinges at the rear of the car, resembling the legendary Miura from the Sixties. The entire cockpit is much more driver orientated inside the Roadster version, and new wheels were made available as well.

Midnight Club Los Angeles[]

The Murciélago Roadster appears as a Group 4 A-Class Exotic. It can purchased for $319,000 after achieving Champion Rank, which is required to unlock Group 4 Vehicles. The Murcielago is often the most favoured car due to it reaching high speeds and it having decent cornering, as it is all-wheel drive. The Murcielago even rivals the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo when it comes to top speed, having 264 MPH (425 KM/H) when maxed with multiple nitrous triggered. However, the Murciélago performs better overall than the S7 due to it's higher stability in turns, as the Murciélago is all-wheel drive, while the S7 is rear-wheel-drive.

However, the acceleration of the car from stand still can be a bit of hand full, especially when injecting NOS at the start of a race/time trial. There is a delay in shifting the first few gears when using NOS. Applying NOS when in 3rd gear gives a consistent and uninterrupted acceleration. The car is also one of the best choices to be used for Goal Attacks, due to it's excellent handling.

Due to the car having a DUB Edition, the DUB Edition of the car is highly recommended to be won from the Downtown DUB Tournament, in which due to being already equipped with level 1 upgrades, becomes highly useful until level 2 upgrades for Group 4 vehicles become available, in which one must spend $58,880 to upgrade it to level 2.

It's high cost makes it a good choice to be sold for $311,680 (or $358,784 if fully upgraded and no visual modifications were purchased for it) as part of the Payday deal which the player must have $1,000,000 to make all purchases in the garages free of charge.

Stats[]

Despite having the highest speed and handling, it's acceleration is due to it's slightly heavy mass of 1,650 kg, though it is the best vehicle to clear Goal Attacks.

Assuming it's performance, a stock Murciélago has 572 HP, with level 1 upgrades (due to the engine going from naturally aspirated to single turbo, the car could be roughly 750-800 HP;), while level 2 parts will push the car to at least 1,000 HP when fully tuned (due to a twin-turbocharged aspiration).

Although the garage claims the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 and Ducati 1098R have higher speed and handling stats, the Murciélago has a higher top speed, along with slightly better handling, with the Murciélago only being out-accelerated by the bikes and the handling at par to the Murciélago's, likely to counter-balance their risks.

The Murciélago also has the highest top speed in the game, when fully upgraded, it tops out at around 265 mph (426 km/h) with continuous nitrous, and 246 mph (396 km/h) without using any nitrous.

Usage[]

Due to the Murciélago posing a high price tag of $319,000, the standard version of the car is merely a collector's item until the player has paid $1,000,000 to become Karol's garage partner after becoming City Champ.

However, as the Murciélago Roadster has a DUB Edition, the said variant can be extremely useful, especially for the later part of the game, as the player can win the Downtown DUB Tournament and obtain the said DUB Edition for free (even before Group 4 vehicles are unlocked; provided the tournament appears beforehand), and use it for the remainder of the game, only upgrading it for $58,880 after unlocking level 2 upgrades for group 4 vehicles.

It is one of the fastest cars in the game, having the best handling and top speed (maxed) amongst all of the playable vehicles in the game. however, it's acceleration is surpassed by the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo as well as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 and Ducati 1098R, which can accelerate faster at the expense of being more difficult to handle and being more expensive when compared to the Murciélago, while the bikes' faster acceleration than the aforementioned Saleen was to compensate for being faster to take damage, being despawned at every hit and taking longer to reset after every crash.

However, some users may only use the vehicle to do Fast Times (requires 6 wins with an exotic car) and Classic Italian (in which one must drive an Exotic and defeat Karol) if they prefer to ride the A-Class, Group 4 Sport Bikes, which can be highly dangerous and tricky to master.

The Murciélago's all-wheel drive drivetrain, along with that of the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, can easily dominate Goal Attacks and obtain the True Dedication achievement/trophy.

A DUB Edition of the Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster can be obtained by winning the Downtown DUB Tournament on hard difficulty, which will add a copy of the car to the player's garage.

It is painted in Nero Aldebaran by default and equipped with TIS M305 (or TIS 09 when bought/owned) rims.

Further copies of the car can also be purchased from the Vehicle Showroom for $389,600 (if they weren't a garage partner yet), after unlocking Group 4 vehicles.

Owing to being a DUB tournament prize, it is possible to obtain the DUB Murciélago before unlocking Group 4 vehicles.

Trivia[]

  • The car lacks the later lamps of the Murcielagos but does have other wheels.
  • A blue Murcielago modded as a DUB version is usable as a timed race on the PSP.
  • The dark olive Murcielago in the Hollywood delivery mission has red hazards instead of orange.
  • The DUB Edition Lamborghini Murciélago is equipped with TIS 09 wheels when bought from the dealer or won from the Downtown DUB Tournament, while the car is depicted with TIS M305 rims in the showroom, Mission Log and in Midnight Club: LA Remix. This is due to the TIS Modular rims being exclusive to Rockstar Games Social Club.
    • If the player unlocked the TIS Modular rims via Social Club, the player could just equip the M305 rims.
  • The Murciélago's default body color is Azzurro Aquarius, while it's DUB Edition is painted in Nero Aldebaran by default.
  • The Murciélago's default license plate reads "5VST471", while in LA Remix, it uses "UZBV578" as it's default license plate.
    • It's DUB Edition's default license plate reads "5YCI201", while in LA Remix, it uses "TUVR517" as it's default license plate.
  • In Midnight Club: L.A. Remix, both Murciélago variants use each other's default color scheme, with the regular Murciélago Roadster being only available in Los Angeles, while the DUB Edition is only available in Tokyo.
  • Setting the paint type to one that enables secondary color reveals that the Murcielago's default secondary color is Verde Ithaca.
  • It is possible to obtain the DUB Edition variant of the Murciélago Roadster even before Group 4 vehicles are unlocked, provided they open the Downtown DUB Tournament before hitting Champion Rank.
