- For the Murciélago that appears in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, see Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster.
The Lamborghini Murciélago is an Italian sports car manufactured by Lamborghini. It was the first Lamborghini to be developed under the aegis of Audi, and went into production in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo.
Win Quote[]
"Way to go Esse, you've done it! U.S. Champ, pretty impressive, but not as impressive as your new Lamborghini Murcielago. Now that ride is beautiful!" -Oscar
Description[]
Development on the successor to the world-renowned Diablo and Countach began in 1999. Many false starts, redesigns and prototypes later, the Lamborghini Murciélago was officially introduced in September 2001 to a roar of acclaim. Incredibly reliable and easy to maintain, it's V12 engine can go from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds, and has a top speed just over 200 mph.
Despite a price tag of a quarter-million dollars its having been on the market for a few years, the Murciélago remains one of the most sought after exotic cars in the world, and retains its reputation as the ultimate road thrill machine.
In a continuation to the manufacturer's tradition of naming its cars after stars from the world of bullfighting, the Murciélago is named after a 1879 Spanish fighting bull.
The car has folding mirrors, an adjustable spoiler and side scoops that open automatically to cool the engine.
Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition[]
The Murciélago is added to the player's garage and unlocked for regular use after becoming the U.S. Champion by defeating all 7 racers in the said series.
If the player's garage is full or already has a Murciélago through hacking upon becoming the U.S. Champion, the player will be given $297,700 instead, which is the Murciélago's full purchase price.
Performance[]
The Murcielago is the thinking man's Exotic. It's heavy, stable, and its acceleration is closer to 'sensible'. This all pairs very well with its incredible handling and high top speed, since the player isn't forced to take their foot off the gas often.
It has slightly softer suspension than other high-end Exotics, and it can absorb jumps and collisions without spinning out. Even over the harshest terrain, the Murcielago stays very composed and collected.
While it may not beat the fastest cars of Class A in a drag race, it will punish their every mistake.
As the Murcielago is grouped with the higher-end exotics, namely the Saleen S7 (naturally aspirated), Pagani Zonda C-12 S, McLaren F1 LM, Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR or the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, the Murcielago cannot encounter any vehicle other than itself or any of the aforementioned vehicles, with some occasions having the Class A Sport Bikes.

Notes[]
- Vanessa drives a Murciélago as part of the U.S. Championship Series. Her Murciélago's plate reads "HOTLMBO".
- The Murciélago is the only prize exotic that cannot be obtained before unlocking Class A vehicles, as the Murciélago is the reward for the U.S. Championship Series, while the exotics mentioned below can be attained even before Class A vehicles have been shipped to the garage.
- The Cadillac Cien is won from the City Tournament in Detroit, which opens upon Ceasar's first defeat. The player may race Ceasar's first match right after defeating Leo, but before racing Spider and Roy's third match.
- The Chrysler ME Four-Twelve is won from the By Invitation Only club races across all three US cities, the player may use the Cadillac Cien, Pagani Zonda C-12 S or 1998 Gemballa F355 to win the club races.
- The 1998 Gemballa F355 is won from the By Invitation Only, as any of the exotics won as a prize can be used to win the tournament.
- The Pagani Zonda C-12 S can be won from the Imperial Palace Tournament, which requires any Class A vehicle, aside from the Cien, F355 or ME Four-Twelve, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R, a Sport Bike won from the Original Riders bike club can also be used as the tournament permits any Class A vehicle.
- It is one of the 6 exotic cars that are commonly driven by the AI in the late-game, along with the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, McLaren F1 LM, Saleen S7 and Pagani Zonda C-12 S.
- Coincidentally, the aforementioned vehicles, except the Zonda (as it is a REMIX vehicle), and the S7 (which Angel drives in his first encounter; but downgrades to the Cadillac Cien for the U.S. Championship Series), are driven by the U.S. Championship Series opponents.
