Lester is a character in Midnight Club: Los Angeles. He is also available as a player model in the online component of the game.

Background

Nothing is known of Lester's background, although judging by his appearance and his later preference for luxury vehicles, he appears to be fairly well-off.

He is best known for being the co-founder of Thomas and the Lesters.

Storyline

Lester is a frequent competitor throughout the story. He is one of the first opponents the player challenges in a Pink Slip Race. After becoming the City Champ and having 35 wins in a luxury car, the player is able to face Lester to take over his title of Luxury Champ. Outside of the story line, Lester can call the Player at random and challenge him to a race, with the location determined by the Player, and him using a vehicle depending on the difficulty and player's vehicle performance, with him riding his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 in almost every race with a high-end A-Class vehicle.

Lester drives a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS if the player uses a low class car at a higher difficulty or a mid-tier car at a low difficulty setting. It can also be seen at the Rooftop Parking Garage.

2006 Mazda RX-8 "Shinka" (SE3P)

Lester drives a 2006 Mazda RX-8 "Shinka" which can be won in a Pink Slip race at the Rooftop Parking Garage.

The player must defeat Lester in ‘’Old Route 66’’, on it’s Hard/Hardest route to win his RX-8.

2007 Chrysler 300C SRT-8

Lester drives a 2007 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 if the player shows up in a high-end C-Class car or a low-end B-Class car in the optimal difficulty setting.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (R320)

Lester drives a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (R230) if the player spawns in a mid-high performance vehicle. He also drives the SL 65 as the Luxury Champ in Downtown. He can be spawned if Dora is also present in the race, provided the player's vehicle can spawn any Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG opponents.

He also randomly spawns in his SL 65 as a cruising hookman around the Hills or in Downtown. However, on certain occassions, if the player's vehicle can spawn both SL 65 and Ninja ZX-14 opponents, it is possible for Oswaldo to appear in his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14, even if Lester is in his SL 65.

2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14

Lester rides an orange 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 if the player shows up in a high end A-Class vehicle. The player almost goes up against Lester in his Ninja if the player uses a maxed Exotic. Oswaldo may also appear in his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 if Lester also appears in his Ninja.

As the Ninja is a motorcycle, Lester wear an Alpinestars motorcycle helmet, jacket and gloves when riding on his Ninja.

Trivia

• He wears a shirt with Benjamin Franklin on it, this may reference the fact that Benjamin Franklin is on the 100 USD Bill, a reference to how he drives luxury cars.
  • However, when Lester is on a Sport Bike, he also wears an Alpinestars motorcycle jacket, along with gloves and helmet.
• If the player ends up failing a Payback mission, Lester will be one of the opponent's friends you have to escape from.
• Lester is the only Pink Slip Racer who wears full motorcycle gear when riding a motorcycle the player previously lost. This is due to him also using a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 as an opponent.
