Lose the Cops is a type of race featured in Midnight Club II and Midnight Club: L.A. Remix. It involves getting to a certain location without bringing any police attention.
Midnight Club II[]
Midnight Club II features two Lose the Cops events, one in Los Angeles and another one in Paris. For some reason, Tokyo doesn't have a Lose the Cops event, instead having a similar event, Machi-yakko. It should be noted that Lose the Cops events cannot be played in multiplayer.
Los Angeles[]
"Cross the finish line fast, but make sure you lose the cops first. NOTE: This race is not available in multiplayer modes." - In-game description
This is Hector's first race. Since there is a strong police presence, the race is called off. This race introduces the player to the Lose the Cops style of race. The task is to simply meet Hector at the old warehouse, located at the southern portion of the Watts district, within 5 minutes and without bringing any police attention. To effectively lose the police, it is recommended that the player follows these next instructions: when the player is given the signal to go, turn immediately to the right and proceed down the Los Angeles river. Go through the fenced off gates until the player locates a tunnel, the one that links the river with the eastern section of downtown Los Angeles. Proceed through this tunnel and make an immediate left. If the player maintains a reasonable speed, the player will shake the police presence fairly easily. Enter the other side of the warehouse through a ramp, cross the middle portion of the building, and descend the other ramp, where the finish line will be located.
Paris[]
"Use the tight spaces in Paris to lure cops into traps. NOTE: this race is not available in multiplayer modes." - In-game description
In Farid's second race, the player faces Farid head-to-head once more. However, since there is a strong police presence, the race is called off. The task is to meet Farid by the stairwell leading to the Sacre Coeur within 2 minutes. It is advised that the player turns around and reach the gas station via the catacombs. Once the player has reached that destination, proceed until they encounter another gas station. Head up the ramp, and enter the boundaries in that fashion. There should be no cops pursuing them. Upon completing these two races, Farid will give the player his Stadt without hesitation.
