Background

Makoto is the city champion of Tokyo. Presented as being a very well respected member of the street racing community. He may have connections to the Yakuza. He is the penultimate challenger in Midnight Club II and the last challenger the player must face before the world champion Savo.

• He's the oldest racer in Midnight Club II, next to Savo , Blog and Primo .
• He appears to be a very successful person and has the looks of a stereotypical businessman.
• He shares a slight resemblance to Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series. He is also resembles Kozo Hoshino 'God Foot' from Initial D who also drives a Nissan Skyline GTR R34.
• He shares same name with Makoto from Street Fighter series; and also Makoto Nanaya from BlazBlue series.
