Mazda (officially Mazda Motor Corporation) is a Japanese automotive manufacturer that appears in Midnight Club: Los Angeles. The company was founded on January 30, 1920 by Jujiro Matsuda as "Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd.," a cork-making factory. In 1927, it changed its name to "Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. and started manufacturing vehicles in 1931.

The name "Mazda" comes from "Ahura Mazda", the god of harmony, intelligence and wisdom in Zoroastrianism, as well as "Matsuda" from the founder's name. Mazda is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Japan and the world, being ranked the 15th largest based on production volume in 2015. During that year, they produced 1.5 million vehicles for global sales, 1 million were made in Japan and the rest in other countries.

Mazda is well known for its innovative technologies, such as the Wankel Rotary engine, the SkyActiv platform, and the Kodo Design language. They also have a significant involvement in motorsports, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991 with their rotary-powered Mazda 787B. The Mazda logo has gone through 15 designs over its history. The bold lowercase lettering from the primary Mazda badge uses custom futuristic sans-serif typeface, looking similar to Snasm Regular and Toxigenesis Bold fonts. However, there are some modifications and stencils added to the "Z". The logo uses metallic shades with no colorful accents.
