The 2006 Mazda RX8 "Shinka" is a vehicle available in Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It is classified as a tuner vehicle.
The "Shinka" is the first special-edition of the Mazda RX-8 that was unveiled in 2005 and 2006. It was called the "Sports Prestige Limited" in Japan and "Shinka" in North America. The name comes from the Japanese word meaning "transformation" or "evolution." Mazda promoted the Shinka as a more luxurious grand touring model; available in Black Cherry (2005) and Various Special exterior colors (2006). It featured a suede interior and sand color parchment leather, along with subtly chromed 18-inch wheels.
Out of 2,150 vehicles produces, 1,357 were produced for and sold in the North American market. The most significant change mechanically was the slightly revised Bilstein shocks and suspension cross member injected with urethane foam to improve ride quality.
Acquisition[]
The 2006 Mazda RX8 "Shinka" can be purchased from the showroom for $26,000. A customized version can also be won in Beach Overlook, a Pink Slip Race from Lester.
Performance[]
The RX-8 is a high-performing Group 2 Vehicle, running a 1.3 liter naturally aspirated twin-rotor engine.
Owing to being a high-end Group 2 vehicle, the RX-8 can be a good vehicle to use for the mid-part of the game, especially, up until the player obtains an A-Class vehicle (such as the Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster DUB Edition), even after the player unlocks level 1 upgrades for Group 3 vehicles. The RX-8 can be a good vehicle for the player to use (assuming they use the free RX-8 won from Lester in his pink slip race and buys Level 2 performance parts for it). The RX-8 can outperform some Group 3 vehicles with level 1 performance parts, up until the player wins the Downtown DUB Tournament to win the aforementioned Lamborghini.
Users[]
The RX-8 is used by Oswaldo, Andrew and Chung Hee. Lester also owns an RX-8, but later loses it to the Protagonist (MCLA) in a Pink Slip Race.
