Acquisition[]
The player can purchase this vehicle after unlocking Class A vehicles for $250,000.
Background[]
In 1995, the McLaren F1 GTR smashed the record books by winning the world's most grueling endurance race - the Le Mans 24 hours - at it's first attempt. Not only did the F1 GTR team finish first, it also came in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th.
To celebrate the achievement, McLaren created a limited edition of five LM's - one for each F1 GTR that finished the race.
The McLaren F1 LM's rarity is exceeded only by it's power. Holding the record for the fastest acceleration time to 100 miles per hour and sporting a top speed that's often limited by the terrain than the engine, this is one of the fastest street legal vehicles on earth.
Performance[]
The McLaren F1 is among the top 3 fastest vehicles in the game, behind the Pagani Zonda C-12 S and the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, which have higher top speed. The F1 also has the highest acceleration stat in the game, with 99.9.
It can accelerate from 0-200mph in just 6 seconds. However, its acceleration begins to decrease at higher speeds a bit, due to the higher downforce produced from the rear wing.
The F1 also has very high traction. The handling can be very sticky without using the handbrake, but it is very capable at avoiding collisions as it picks up more speed and the steering gets sharper. The car suffers at times from low suspension, and players who are not careful turning with this car may find themselves crashing or even flipping the vehicle over a lot, which can cause great damage to the player's current position in a race.
The F1 LM is known to hit speeds over 270 mph if NOS is engaged in 4th or 5th gear. Although the speedometer only reads up to 250 mph.
Despite the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R and Aprilia RSV Mille 1000R Factory having a higher speed rating, the F1 LM still outperforms the two sport bikes due to being a supercar, while the bikes suffer from their extreme weaknesses such as Class D Nitrous capacity, while the F1 LM’s only performance upgrades are simply adding two tanks of nitrous, making it have a total of 4 nitro tanks, the bikes maxed only have two nitro tanks.
As one of the six ultimate exotics, along with the Saleen S7 (naturally aspirated), Lamborghini Murciélago VT, Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, Pagani Zonda C-12 S and the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, the F1 can only encounter itself and the aforementioned vehicles in regular races.

Trivia[]
- One of the two manufacturer liveries bear a resemblance to the Gulf Racing McLaren F1.
- Even without using nitrous, the car has comparable acceleration.
- Despite being a naturally aspirated vehicle, the F1 seen in-game is turbocharged. The telltale boost noise can be heard while stock.
- Roy's F1 LM has a lower handling rating of 82.3.
- It is one of the 6 exotic cars that are commonly driven by the AI in the late-game, along with the Lamborghini Murciélago Coupe, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, Saleen S7 and Pagani Zonda C-12 S.
- Coincidentally, the aforementioned vehicles, except the Zonda (as it is a REMIX vehicle), and the S7 (which Angel drives in his first encounter; but downgrades to the Cadillac Cien for the series), are driven by the U.S. Championship Series opponents.
- Driving any of the said exotics, cannot encounter any other vehicles, while the Class A Sport Bikes also encounter the Lamborghini Diablo VT or Gemballa F355 opponents.
