The Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is a vehicle available in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition.
Win Quote[]
"Ain't nothing like a serious Mercedes, Holmes. One of them AMG SL55, now this 55 here can really move." -Oscar
Description[]
The SL55 AMG is the fifth generation in Mercedes' SL lineup and the product of Mercedes' own in-house High Performance Division, AMG.
Performance[]
Acceleration is surprisingly decent for a vehicle of it's weight and its top speed will see it running with the best Class B has to offer. Handling is noticeably heavy and stiff, understeer will quickly turn into oversteer if the handbrake is applied too much.
It has the 2nd highest top speed stat of all Luxury sedans, behind only the Cadillac Sixteen, though unlike the Sixteen, which encounters Class B Tuners, the SL55 encounters the slower Exotics.
As an AMG vehicle, it cannot receive any performance upgrades except for nitrous.

Usage[]
The SL55 is eligible to participate in the following races:
- San Diego, California street Racers: Carlos or Bishop (whichever was not defeated to progress to Phil)
- Atlanta, Georgia street Racers: Dre and Cheng or Vito and Naomi (whichever pair was not defeated yet)
- Detroit, Michigan street Racers: All racers except Leo
- Tournaments: All US Career tournaments except one of City Tournament (San Diego), Stage Tournament or Balboa Park Tournament, since one is required to challenge Vanessa's second rematch, Wharf Tournament, Luxury Rollers Tournament.
- All Luxury Rollers Car Club races.
- All 34 Tokyo Challenge races.
- All U.S. Championship Series races, though the player will probably be able to use the exotic supercars such as the McLaren F1 LM, Chrysler ME Four-Twelve or Pagani Zonda C-12 S.
Acquisition[]
The Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is delivered in a pre-tuned DUB Edition variant once the San Diego DUB Tournament has been won. The player is instead awarded $154,725 if the tournament is won with a full garage, which still unlocks the stock SL55 for purchase with a price of $135,000.
Trivia[]
- Even though the cutscene for Agro says that only the Mercedes-Benz SL 500 and Lexus SC430 don’t use Agro and instead use Zone, the SL55 uses Zone instead of Agro despite not being mentioned in the cutscene. This is likely due to the fact that the SL55 is an upgraded version of the SL500, or so that the game would not spoil a late-game prize car, since its tournament opens very early in the Detroit portion of the Career Mode.
- Despite being a luxury vehicle weighing 1,921 kg (4,235 lbs), it has very low durability and can be critically damaged very quickly, therefore the player must be careful with this car.
- Despite the DUB Edition of the car being equipped with TIS 06 rims, the TIS 08 was listed after the GFG Forged Trento 7 rims, while the Chrysler 300C's TIS 02, and the Cadillac Escalade EXT's TIS 01 rims are listed last.
- Also, the SL55 DUB Edition is the only DUB Edition not to be equipped with a black window tint.
