The 8th generation of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (VIII) was set into production in 2003. The car came with Enkei 17" Wheels, Brembo brakes, Bilstein shock absorbers and a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 4G63T engine producing 261hp.
Midnight Club 3[]
In MC3, the Mitsubishi is one of the better Tuners available, it's fast, grippy and has lots of torque when compared to other tuners in it's class due to it's front biased AWD drivetrain. It's acceleration however, is lower than most other tuners as a result of this. A modified blue Evolution VIII can be seen in the intro for the game, and it is possible to recreate this car.

Trivia[]
- The Lancer Evolution VIII does front-wheel burnouts despite being AWD in real life. This is due to non-Evolution Lancers being front wheel drive.
- The car uses a 6-speed transmission, despite 6-speed transmission being only available with the MR trim, while the in-game Lancer is the GSR trim.
- When maxed out, this car also gets the Cadillac Cien, Lamborghini Diablo VT, Gemballa Turbo Coupe and Gemballa F355 as it's opponents.
- As Rockstar did not obtain rights to Enkei for Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, the Enkei logo is not present on the stock rims in-game, although the rim brand was present on the Saikou and Saikou XS in Midnight Club II.
- The Lancer Evolution VIII is the first Class C tuner the player can encounter in Career Mode, being encountered as early as Vanessa's first rematch at the end of San Diego.
