"Race well to stay competitive with the motorcycles." - In-game description

Monsoni Monsoon is the twenty-ninth career mode race in Midnight Club II. The race occurs after Ian gives up the keys to the Fripon X, allowing him to switch to the Monsoni sport bike.

Description[]

The race starts in an alleyway and ends through a catacomb entrance.

Like the last race, this race has straight road and sharp curves, so it is suggested to use a car with high top speed. However, there is also very dense traffic presence, so it is recommended to use a car with high acceleration or the Cohete to go through traffic (though it does not have any Nitrous). The player should also drive through sidewalks to avoid collisions.

When the player goes through the highway, located on the outskirts of Paris, the player must turn to the other side of the road whenever the player is in a tunnel. The player only has to turn through the columns once per tunnel, so the player should not go back once the player hits the checkpoint on the other side. Also, the player must be careful when going through the gas station on the right side of the highway, as hitting a gas pump can completely damage out their vehicle. Do not go back to the streets as there are other checkpoints in the highway.

It can be confusing to find the finish line. After the player hits the last checkpoint, drive down either side of the block that the finish line is inside, where the player should look for "P" signs on buildings. These signs locate where the tunnel entrances are.

Opponents[]

  • Andrew (Monsoni)
  • Ian (Monsoni)
  • Jaimie (Monsoni)
  • Omid (Monsoni)
  • Tracy (Monsoni)

Tips[]

  • The Boost, the Bryanston V, the Fripon X or the Schneller V8 are suggested for this race.
    • The Cohete is also another alternative choice to get through dense traffic. However, the Cohete, being a sport bike, suffers from having no nitrous and being prone to falling off.

Trivia[]

  • The song that plays during this race is "Elements of Trance (DJ Kim's Reload Mix)" by ACM, which also plays in the Karma Rising race against Zen in Tokyo.
  • Doing this race with the Fripon X will act like a revenge race, since after Ian gives his car's keys to the player, he switches to the Monsoni sports bike, since the player will be driving Ian's original car while he races on a bike.
