Nissan is a large Japanese automobile manufacturer founded in 1933 by Masujiro Hashimoto, Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, Meitaro Takeuchi, and Yoshisuke Aikawa. The car brand has a reputation of building high-performance tuner cars such as the 240SX, Z and the GT-R in the worldwide tuning scene.
However, Nissan also has a rather conservative image, since most Nissan models are economy cars plus the fact that it is recently known for its emphasis on electric vehicles like the Nissan Leaf.

Logo History[]
The Nissan logo has gone through 17 different designs over its history. The company's emblem was created in 1933 and has gone through several modifications, mainly color palette and font of wordmark, placed in the emblem's rectangular. However, since the 1950s-1980s, Nissan did not use this famous emblem in its visual identity, instead using its wordmark. The logo is borrowed from Nissan's sister company Datsun, also using the red rising sun from the Japanese flag.[1]
