The Nissan GT-R (R35) is a vehicle that was cut from Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It had a complete model and visual parts in game files. Had the car appeared in game, the GT-R (R35) would have been an A-Class Group 4 Tuner.
Description[]
The 2008 Nissan GT-R (R35) is the standard model in the GT-R model range, powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8 litre V6 which generates 473bhp. It is also the first four-wheel drive car to have its transmission located at the rear. This results in a distribution of torque to the rear wheels varying from 50 to 98 percent, eliminating the previous generation's understeer weakness.
The GT-R's performance is on par with the latest supercars and is one of the fastest cars to lap the Nürburgring with an incredible 7 minutes and 26 seconds. It received a facelift in 2011 along with a boost in horsepower.
Performance[]
If the car appeared in the final game, it would have been an A-Class Group 4 Tuner car that would have had very high speed and handling that could rival the overpowered Sport Bikes such as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 and Ducati 1098R or the other all-wheel drive cars such as the Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or Audi R8 4.2 FSi Quattro. It's heavy weight of 1,740 kg or 3,836 lbs could make it's acceleration a bit slow, similar to the Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster. It's handling could make Goal Attacks easy to win due to being all-wheel drive. It's stats would have been correctly depicted with the highest top speed and handling rating, unlike the Group 4 Sport Bikes whose top speed was misleading.
It's likely maxed opponent selections would have been the same as a maxed Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 or Ducati 1098R on all difficulties, which would exactly have opponents drive all Class A vehicles, namely, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6), Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14, Ducati 999R and Ford Shelby Cobra Concept.
Two other possible AI selections for lower performance levels would have been either that of a maxed Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) or Ford GT, which is only Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Saleen S7 Twin Turbo or Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 opponents, or the AI used by most maxed exotics, which would usually be Doc, Lester, Oswaldo, Leon and Mikey being the only racers to spawn at random.
The car would have been frequently used to clear Goal Attacks, likely more used than the Class A sport bikes. It's stats when fully upgraded would have had the GT-R have 100 top speed and handling, with acceleration only being a tad lower than the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 and Ducati 1098R.
Acquisition[]
The Nissan GT-R (R35) was a car that was cut from the final game. It would have had a price tag between $80,000 and $100,000 to purchase.
