Oscar is a mechanic working at the Six-One-Nine Customs garage in San Diego. He is known to drive a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. He is also the first mechanic the player meets when starting the game in Career Mode in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, However, on the Remix Edition of the game, the player can start in the Tokyo Challenge and meet Tomoya, the mechanic from Speedway.

Story[]

The Player meets Oscar in the beggining of the Game, where he's seen talking on his phone. After he hangs up, he talks to the player saying that he could help with street racing, since everyone would race anything in the City.

After talking to the Player, he seems to gain trust on him, as he is seen constantly telling the Player about new City Racers, Tournaments, and Car Clubs Events.

He offers the player a choice of the Mitsubishi Eclipse (3rd generation), Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T, Dodge Neon SRT-4, Volkswagen Golf R32 (Mark IV), 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo or 1964 Chevrolet Impala (Gen. 3), with the REMIX version of the game also adding the Scion tC, as allotted by the $22,000 starting budget, though the player may also be able to win any Tokyo Challenge prizes before attempting Career Mode, as allotted by the limitations of the player only allowed to buy Class D vehicles from the beginning of the game, though three Class C vehicles are also attainable before starting Career Mode.

Trivia[]

  • At some point in development, Oscar was supposed to have a different Voice Actor, this can be seen on the game's files. And as it turns out, the voice actor for Vince was supposed to voice Oscar since there's a similar Unused voiceline that features Vince's voice the phone call effect.
  • Oscar is also the narrator for the Tutorials, same for new Prize Vehicles in the main Career Mode, however, when in Tokyo Challenge, it's voiced by Tomoya, except for the NAV System tutorial.
  • Oscar's character is also a possible reference to Óscar Gutiérrez Rubio, a WWE wrestler known by his stage name of Rey Mysterio; they share the same name and hometown, and 619 is also known as Mysterio's signsture move.
