Pagani (officially Pagani Automobili S.p.A) is an Italian hypercar and carbon fiber component manufacturer that appears in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition (REMIX). The company was founded in 1992 by Argentinian-Italian Horacio Pagani and is based in San Cesario sul Panaro, near Modena, Italy. [1]

History[]

Horacio Pagani used to manage Lamborghini's composites departments, then went on to form Pagani Composite Research in 1988. His new company had worked with Lamborghini on many different project, including restyling the 25th Anniversary Edition of the Lamborghini Countach, the Lamborghini LM002, the Lamborghini P140 design concept and the Lamborghini Diablo. In the late 1980s, Pagani began designing his own car which he referred to as the "C8 Project." He planned to name it the "Fangio F1" to honor his friend and 5-time Argentinian Formula 1 champion: Juan Manuel Fangio.

In 1991, Horacio created Modena Design to meet increasing demand for his services (design, engineering, and prototyping). In 1992, he began constructing his Fangio F1 prototype. By 1993, he tested it at the Dallara wind tunnel with good results. In 1994, Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Pagani with V12 engines. The total cost of these cars are $2.3 Million. The final car ended up being named the "Zonda C12"; he dropped the "Fangio F1" name out of respect for Fangio who passed away in 1995. The Zonda C12 was the first of the Zonda line and was presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show.

Pagani announced in 2005 that his company planned to triple production output within the next 3 years and that he wanted to enter the US market in 2007. On 2010, Pagani claimed a new Nürburgring record of 6:47 with the Pagani Zonda R, beating out the Ferrari 599XX.[2]

Logo History[]

The Pagani logo has only had 2 designs throughout its history. The first logo consists of a wordmark inside an oval frame, the logo has a three-dimensional look. The letter is executed in a custom sans-serif font with smooth rounded lines. The emblem also has a stylized image of the letter "P" on the top-left and a tagline on the bottom: "Automobili Modena." This is a tribute to Pagani's hometown, Modena. The silver and blue shows Pagani as elegant and sleek, evoking a sense of authority and influence.

The second logo is a more stylish, simplified version introduced in 2005, preserving only the basic elements of the original. The logo still has an oval frame and uses the same font to print the name. However, all other elements (the "P", the blue section and the tagline) are removed, leaving only a white background with a thin black frame. The minimalistic look of the logo gives it a luxurious feel. [3]
