The Piranha is a vehicle featured in Midnight Club: Street Racing and are available in three models: the PDQ, the PDQ R and the PDQ ARi. The Piranha cars are based on the Honda Civic (EG6) hatchback, with its rear being less rounder, somewhat more larger and wider in size, and different side windows. The taillight designs on all three variations are merely generic. Oddly, its basename suggests it is based on the Honda CR-X.
Piranha PDQ[]
The Piranha PDQ is Keiko Hatano's first car. The other two vehicles obtainable from the brand in the confrontations with Keiko are the Piranha PDQ R by winning the second race and the Piranha PDQ ARi by winning the third race. It is unlocked by default in arcade mode.
Description[]
The PDQ is an orange, small compact hatchback sporting an array of visual modifications including a widebody kit, hood vents and scoops, and a set of red and white stripes covering the front bumper and rear 3/4's of the car. The hood is stamped with a red Trial decal. The doors have both a white JUN and a Black Dimma Designs logo. The trunk has a large Wings West logo in the center.
Performance[]
Out of the three New York Hookmen cars, the PDQ is by far the quickest. It focuses mostly on handling and acceleration at the cost of top speed, being even lower than that of the Taxi Cab. While it can't jump off the line the same way the Jones J400 can, the PDQ can still match its acceleration and even beat it to 100mph (161km/h). Unlike the J400 and Bueno, its acceleration is consistent up until its rather low top speed of 112mph. The handling of the PDQ is quick and direct, going where instructed without much drama. At higher speeds light taps of the handbrake may be needed to negotiate corners, but often times isn't needed. It has a 4-speed transmission and weighs 2,120lbs. (962 kg).

Piranha PDQ R[]
The Piranha PDQ R is Keiko Hatano's second car. The other two vehicles obtainable from the brand in the confrontations with Keiko are the Piranha PDQ by winning the first race and the Piranha PDQ ARi by winning the third race.
Description[]
The PDQ R sports various changes from the previous model, featuring new headlights, trunk lights, and a hood scoop. The body kit has been replaced with a new one, and the vented hood has been swapped out with a new hood scoop. The ride height has been slightly lowered, alongside new larger wheels and low profile tires for an increase in traction. A spoiler has been added for extra traction as well. The paint job is now bright green with a white lower half separated by a yellow stripe that starts at the front skirt and continues back to the upper trunk, ending just underneath the rear window. New logos include a black Top Secret logo on the doors, with the red Trial, and Black Dimma Designs logo being moved to the side skirt. The rear trunk lid now sports a black RGA logo, with a red Trial logo flanked on either side by Wings West logos on the rear bumper.
Performance[]
The PDQ R continues the Piranha's trend of acceleration and handling over speed. This is a direct upgrade to the PDQ with much faster acceleration. Unlike the PDQ however, the acceleration begins to taper off when nearing its top speed. Handling and top speed remain unchanged. It weighs 2254lbs. (1022kgs.), a gain of 124lbs (54kgs). It has a 4-speed transmission.

Piranha PDQ ARi[]
The Piranha PDQ ARi is Keiko Hatano's third and final car. The other two vehicles obtainable from the brand in the confrontations with Keiko are the Piranha PDQ by winning the first race and the Piranha PDQ R by winning the second race.
Description[]
The PDQ ARi is a massive overhaul compared to the other two. No area on the hatchback has been left unaltered. The hood has now been replaced yet again, this time with two vents and an indent. The ride height once again has been lowered, and the wheels have been replaced with wider ten spokes. The bodykit has been modified once again, sporting a more sharp front bumper, bigger side skirts and more aggressive rear bumper. The rear fender flares have also been widened, allowing the addition of wider rear tires. The paintjob is now red, with a checkered flag separating the black bottom half. The hood has a Black Dimma Designs logo, which is also stamped on the doors. A red Trial logo is on the trunk window. A VeilSide logo now sits above the new central dual exit exhausts. A new spoiler has been installed above the trunk, being much larger but not as wide as the PDQ R. The ARi also sports a new sound system, gaining a black red subwoofer in the trunk.
Performance[]
The PDQ ARi sacrifices a decent chunk of handling for even more acceleration and top speed. The steering is still direct and quick, just not as potent as the PDQ R. Small traces of understeer can be found during high speed cornering, but it is minimal at best. When using the handbrake, the car will quickly dart in whichever way commanded without any hesitation, and only needs minimal assistance to stop and continue straight. In order to keep up with the faster New York machines, the ARi gains even more acceleration and top speed, now being able to match the J400 in a straight line. This car also comes with 5 nitrous tanks to help augment this improved engine power. The ARi also now weighs 1986 lbs. (901 kg), a loss of 268 lbs. (122 kg)

Trivia[]
- The piranha fish is a deep-bodied South American freshwater fish that typically lives in schools and has very sharp teeth that are used to tear flesh from prey. It has a reputation as a fearsome predator.
- Strangely, despite its selection sound being somewhat loud, its engine sounds are somewhat quiet.
