Steel Horses is a mission in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, given to the protagonist by Andrew.

Mission[]

Following the events of Downtown Andrew 2, where Andrew kicks his Mazda RX-7 (FD), he tells the player that winning or losing in a car does not matter to him. After some statements, he tells the player to get on a bike with the quote "Get on a bike buddy! On a bike!".

He later informs the player to get some practice on a motorcycle, as he had enough with racing on 4 wheels. The player must win any 6 races on a Sports Bike to complete the mission.

Strategy[]

This mission is a purely optional mission to progress through the story, provided the player prefers to finish the game with cars only. however, it is one of the missions required to unlock Studio Hills in Goal Attack.

Due to the A-Class, Group 4 sport bikes having a very low cost, it is recommended to avoid this mission until after unlocking Group 4 Vehicles at Champion Rank (16,500 Reputation Points).

If the Downtown Andrew 2 mission was completed after unlocking Group 4 vehicles, the player must buy a Sports Bike, as no bikes are awarded through missions, making them the only vehicle required to be bought to progress through the missions.

The two best bikes to buy are the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 or Ducati 1098R, the fastest bikes in the game for a low price of $15,000-$17,000.

Afterwards, the player must take some getting used to the bikes if they have been using cars the entire game, due to how light the sport bikes are, with their acceleration and handling being a trade-off for the extremely low durability, as well as that every crash despawns the player off their bike, and taking a few more seconds to successfully recover from the bike crashes.

The player can use the bike's extremely fast acceleration and sharp handling to do 6 of the Goal Attack races or do Wager Races on Hardest difficulty, even without upgrading it, as part of the requirement of winning 6 races on a motorcycle.
