Sunset and Vine is an ordered race in Midnight Club: Los Angeles and is located in the Hollywood area.

Route

The race starts at the Sunset Boulevard and Elevado Avenue intersection and continues east along Sunset Boulevard until reaching Sweetzer Avenue. The route then turns right to go south along Sweetzer Avenue and then turns left to go east on Santa Monica Boulevard. Afterwards, the route reaches North Fairfax Avenue and turns left to go north along Fairfax Ave. until reaching Franklin Avenue and North La Brea Avenue.

From there, the route continues east along Franklin Ave. until reaching the Vine St. intersection (leading into Wilcox Avenue). The route turns left to continue east-to-south along Vine St. until reaching Beverly Boulevard. Afterwards, the route turns right to continue west on Beverly Boulevard until reaching the finish line at the Great Palace Chinese Restaurant.

Alternate Routes

In the "Hard" and "Hardest" difficulties, there are 4 less checkpoints at 2 certain spots which allow the racers to take more routes to reach checkpoints. However, while these racers may choose alternate routes, they are not necessarily the fastest and could ultimately slow them down compared to the main route.

Alternate Route 1

When reaching the checkpoint at the Santa Monica Blvd. & N. Fairfax Ave. intersection, the next checkpoint is at Franklin Ave. & N. La Brea Ave. At this point, racers may either choose to continue North along N. Fairfax Ave. or try to make their way to N. La Brea Ave. One way is to drive east along Santa Monica Blvd and then turn left to go north on N. La Brea Ave. The other way is stay North on N. Fairfax Ave until reaching the 8000 Sunset Strip Shopping Complex (with the 'Virgin' signs on all four corners) and taking the shortcut from the South West to the North East. This will lead to N. La Brea Ave. where racers can continue north till they reach Franklin Ave. to turn right and continue east.

Alternate Route 2

When reaching the checkpoint at the Franklin Ave. & Vine St. intersection, the next checkpoint is at Vine St. & Beverly Blvd. Here, the racers can choose to continue south along Vine St. or take a parallel path that's more straightforward. The alternate route is to continue south on Wilcox Avenue until reaching Hollywood Boulevard (running over pavement most likely) . Here, the Egyptian Theater building (a.k.a. American Cinematheque) can be seen which contains a shortcut. The racers can smash through the glass panes and continue straight through here until reaching Selma Avenue. Here, a round building with a parking lot can be seen and the racers can continue through the parking lot around the building. Next, the route will reach "The Geodesic Dome" on Sunset Blvd., where the racers will also drive around it to reach Santa Monica Blvd. Finally, an alleyway leading to a gas station will be seen; racers will smash through the gates and continue down the alley to the gas station and then turn right to continue west along Beverly Blvd.
