Midnight Club Wiki

The Taxi Cabs in Midnight Club: Street Racing is based on the second-generation Ford Crown Victoria. This is the first vehicle the player drives in career mode. There are three different types of taxi cabs.

Top Speed (PS2 version)[]

The top speed for the standard taxi reach up to 114 mph (183 km/h). The Super Taxi reach up to 153 mph (246 km/h). The Marauder, which is attached to a snow plow, can only reach up to 137 mph (220 km/h).

Top Speed (GBA version)[]

The top speed for the standard taxi will only reach up to 76 mph. The Super Taxi can reach up to 81 mph. The Marauder can reach up to 85 mph.

Trivia[]

  • There is also a non-playable taxi cab that operates as the taxi in New York City.
  • Due to this being the protagonist's first car, it is safe to assume the player was a taxi driver.
  • The Taxi reuses the engine sounds of the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage and the unused Chevrolet Camaro selection sound from Midtown Madness 2, albeit in much higher quality.
