Gallery 2 for MC2 Traffic Vehicles[]
Traffic Cars in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition[]
Most traffic cars in this game only appear in certain races and do not appear outside of races at all. The only exceptions of this are the Honda Civic, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Odyssey, GMC RTS, Mitsubishi Fuso Aero Star and Utilimaster Aeromaster. Should a traffic car be hit, it will swerve making skidding noises and stop. After a while, it will continue driving again. However, if a traffic car is hit hard enough, it will have dents in it and put on its hazard lights, therefore it will stay where it is forever afterwards. Light traffic cars will only slow down racers who hits them, however, much heavier vehicles such as trucks and buses will usually slow down or completely stop whoever hits them. Two special abilities affect traffic cars in this game: Roar and Agro. Agro is used on SUVs and Luxury Sedans. When used, Agro causes the screen to turn red and makes the player's car much stronger. Cars hit when using Agro will be sent a great distance and take intense damage. Roar, when used, causes all nearby traffic to swerve around in all sorts of directions, clearing the player's area. It is useful in areas filled with traffic cars such as freeways, and can also be used to swerve traffic into other racers a little ahead of the player. It is to note that most traffic cars are either from Midnight Club: Street Racing or Midnight Club II, however, they have a little less detail than in those games.
Honda Civic[]
The Honda Civic in Detroit (possibly).
This car is among the most common traffic cars and always appears outside of races, though it also does appear in races as well. In some races, it can be found involved in car accidents. This bus looks very similar to the GMC RTS, however, its rear is a little different from the real bus. It is a returning bus from Midnight Club II. The bus appears in San Diego, Atlanta and Detroit (both inside races and during cruise mode) with different vinyls and destination signs per city. For example, the GMC RTS in Atlanta is based off of a real life MARTA bus due to its MARTA-like vinyls on it. This bus is a hard obstacle, therefore crashing into it almost always puts the player to a complete stop. Pushing it out of the way after crashing into it will get you nowhere. It is replaced with the Mitsubishi Fuso Aero Star in Tokyo. It can be found parked or driving around.
Utilimaster Aeromaster[]
A Utilimaster Aeromaster in Detroit.
This truck is based off the real life Utilimaster Aeromaster and is a returning truck from Midnight Club: Street Racing. The player in a Dodge Viper nears some Chevrolet Impala SS Police in San Diego. An NPC cop that chases the player can be seen in front of them.
These cars, like the taxi, are based off the real Chevrolet Impala SS and are very similar to the real NPC Police that chase the player. They mostly appear in races in San Diego and can be found in groups, as shown in the picture to the left, or on their way to car accidents (or already at car accidents). In races, they will chase other traffic cars. They will never chase the player if they speed past them, unlike the real NPC Police. There is usually an NPC police that will chase racers, who is hiding in front of these traffic police cars. It can be found driving around or found parked.

It can only be found driving around.
Chevrolet Monte Carlo[]
A Chevrolet Monte Carlo, pictured in Atlanta.
This car resembles a 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, a playable car in the game, and is only seen in races. It only comes in one color which is a baby blue. Crashing into this car will slow racers down heavily, unless Agro is used. It can be seen driving around or parked in Atlanta.

A damaged Freightliner Century Class C-120 Tanker in Detroit.
This tanker truck is based off the real life Freightliner Century Class tractor trailers and is a returning truck from Midnight Club II. It is found only in a few races in the cities. Much like with the GMC RTS and Utilimaster Aeromaster, colliding into one of these can be quite a hazard. This is because the player will slow down, if not stop completely if they crash into one of these. Pushing it out of the way will not help at all. It is possible to drive through the gap under the tanker as a shortcut to dodging and avoiding a collision with it. It can be found parked or driving around.
Freightliner Century Class C-120 Tractor Trailer[]
The Freightliner Century Class C-120 in San Diego (possibly).
This tractor trailer is also based on the Freightliner Century Class tractor trailers and is a returning truck from Midnight Club II. It is way more common than its tanker counterpart and only appears in races. In races, due to its long length and heavy weight, this truck is mostly used as a road blockage, for many times it will appear directly in front of the racers, giving them little time to turn to avoid hitting it. It can also appear driving around in a few races. Colliding into one of these can cause great damage to the truck and obviously, the player's race position. The truck's trailer is very fragile and can sometimes cause the whole truck to flip over in one crash. If you have collided into one of these, quickly back up and pick up some speed. It is possible, only with cars with lower ride height, to drive through the gap under the trailer as a shortcut to dodging and avoiding a collision with it. It can be found parked or driving around. Despite the cab colored blue, it somewhat resembles the trucks used by Gordon Trucking Inc (GTI), though the trailer doesn't have a logo.
GMC L-Model[]
A GMC L-Model in a warehouse in San Diego (possibly).
This truck is a large truck based on the old tractor trailer, the GMC L-Model. It is only found in races, usually in those that involve going through industrial areas such as warehouses and docks. Again, like with any other large traffic car, racers will get nowhere after hitting these and trying to push them out of the way. Therefore it is wise to just back up and continue racing after hitting one. It can be found driving around in the docks, but it cannot be found parked in any races.

Crashing into this truck is no different from crashing into a regular Toyota Tacoma traffic car. It can be found parked or driving around at the beach.

However, traffic cars also have more strength than in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, therefore hitting one, light or heavy, can slow down or completely stop racers. Also, all traffic cars can be encountered during cruise mode, unlike in Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition where nearly all of them only appear in races. Cut traffic cars[]
Midnight Club II[]
In the PlayStation 2 version of the game, there are a few unused traffic cars found in the game files. In the Xbox and PC versions of the game, only va_accord_t, va_cargotruck_small01_t, va_firetruck_l, and va_trashtruck_p are present, while the rest of the models were removed altogether. Although they still have UV data on them, their textures are missing:
- vp_206_p - Not to be confused with vp_peugeot206_p, which is the model used in-game. It has the shape of a Peugeot 206 CC. It was possibly meant for Paris.
- va_accord_t - Duplicate of va_accord_l used in Los Angeles with slight differences. It has incorrectly assigned textures from said car. It was possibly meant for Tokyo.
- va_audi_s3_p - Has the shape of an Audi S3, possibly meant for Paris.
- va_bmw_l - Has the shape of a BMW 3-Series (E36) sedan. It was possibly meant for Los Angeles.
- va_bustour_p - No leftover files were left. It was possibly meant for Paris.
- va_copcar1_l and va_copcar2_l - Early police cars which have the shape of a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria, the one being slicktop and the other having a siren. They were possibly meant for Los Angeles and possible earlier models of the traffic LA Cop.
- va_crv_l - Has the shape of a Honda CR-V (RD1). It was possibly meant for Los Angeles.
- va_garbagetruck_big_p - No leftover files were left. Possibly meant for Paris.
- va_humlimo_l - Has the shape of a Hummer H1 limousine. It was possibly meant for Los Angeles.
- va_polo_p - Has the shape of a Volkswagen Polo (Typ 6N). It was possibly meant for Paris.
