Midnight Club: Los Angeles features a total of 67 playable licensed vehicles, with 58 cars, 4 motorcycles and five police cars in total. 46 of these are available in the main game, with 15 available through the South Central DLC packs, which has the free map expansion, the South Central Premium Upgrade and two paid South Central Vehicle Packs. A free Police Car Pack was released on October 17, 2009, around a week after the Complete Edition was released. All of the aforementioned DLC content are included on-disc in the Complete Edition of the game.
Vehicles are divided into four groups and five vehicle types (eight if the DLC vehicle types are included), with five cars available from the start in Group 1, while Group 2 vehicles are unlocked at Student Driver rank (2000 Rep), Group 3 vehicles at Racer rank (8060 Rep), and Group 4 vehicles at Champion rank (16500 Rep). Each vehicle can be purchased using available funds after their group has been unlocked. However, certain cars can be received as a prize for free by winning certain early tier Best of 3 races, Pink Slip Races, Time Trials or DUB Tournaments. However, further copies of cars whose groups are yet to be unlocked cannot be bought until their respective vehicle group has been unlocked.
All vehicles and parts will be free of charge, after the player has paid $1,000,000 to Karol to be a garage partner at his garages and Doc's Garage.
Cars have 5 ranks, with certain visual parts unlocked for every 9 races completed, while motorcycles only have 3 ranks.
DUB Edition cars are unlocked by completing the sponsored tournaments on Hard difficulty. They can be purchased prior to winning the tournament, however, even if the player has unlocked the respective vehicle groups, the DUB Cars are listed as locked until the player wins the respective DUB Tournament on Hard Difficulty. The cars' lockpad will be removed after winning their tournament, however, the player cannot buy any further copies of the DUB cars until their vehicle group has been unlocked.
The Audi R8 4.2 FSI quattro is also included in the game, however, the aforementioned car is not available for purchase unless one achieves all goals in the Rockstar Games Social Club. However, as of June 10, 2014, the car can no longer be obtained for players who did not complete all of the Driving Test tasks.
The following vehicles appear in Midnight Club: Los Angeles. The South Central DLC vehicles are listed in the Vehicle Showroom after the main game's vehicles and the Police Cars can be found after the aforementioned DLC vehicles.
